What Sets the Ballroom Dance Chicago Apprenticeship Apart
At Ballroom Dance Chicago, we believe teaching dance should be as creative and engaging as the dancing itself. That’s why, for nearly 20 years, we've approached ballroom, Latin, and swing instruction with a fresh perspective—combining structured training with dynamic, student-centered methods.
Unlike traditional ballroom studios, we don’t just focus on step patterns. We train our instructors to understand movement on a deeper level—why it works, how to adapt it, and how to make every student feel successful from day one. This philosophy is the foundation of our teaching method and a major reason our studio continues to grow.
We’re deeply committed to developing our team from within. Because of our specific approach to instruction and customer service, we look for apprentices who want to grow with us long-term. Participants in this program are not just preparing to teach; they’re learning the culture, communication style, and professional standards that define our studio.
In the next 1–2 years, we’ll also be expanding into new roles in studio management, marketing and social media, and event coordination. Completing the BDC Apprenticeship Program is the first step toward becoming part of a vibrant, fast-growing team with exciting career potential.
